You may have read in the Electronics press that as part of Emerson’s expansion of its Connectivity solutions business it has recently acquired Midwest Microwave Inc. in Saline, MI, USA and also Midwest Microwave International Ltd based in Chelmsford, Essex, UK. Midwest Microwave manufacture standard and custom low loss RF cable assemblies and a range of microwave components including attenuators, power dividers, couplers, terminations, precision connectors and adaptors.

In view of the synergies between the Midwest product range and the RF cable and connector offering from Vitelec Electronics Limited it has been decided to combine the two businesses at the expanded Chelmsford facility.

Customers of the new combined Connectivity Solutions business will benefit from a wider RF product offering supported by a world-class manufacturing and assembly facility and European warehouse and logistics operation. Plans for combining the two current operations are at a very advanced stage and the integration is expected to be completed during the last calendar quarter of 2006.

With the exception of a very short break in shipping for the physical relocation of the Vitelec operation, we do not anticipate any reduction in the high level of Customer Service you have come to expect from Vitelec Electronics Ltd. We will keep you informed of progress and will contact you again with our new address and contact details and the exact date of the transfer, but meanwhile please continue to deal with the Dudley facility at the current address.
